HEART OF ENGLAND TAEKWONDO

The Coventry Taekwondo Club was founded in 1974 by Mr. R Haines. When the club expanded outside Coventry it was renamed The Heart of England Taekwondo Club in 1982 by Master N. Guest and Mr. S Guest. The Heart of England Taekwondo Club is continually building a reputation for excellence locally, nationally and internationally. Senior Instructor Master Neil Guest, a 7th Dan with over 33 years experience in Martial Arts, has earned a considerable standing in Taekwondo that only a few can match. He now coaches either directly, or through a team of experienced Dan Grade Instructors, and is proud of every one of the 300 members throughout the 'Heart of England Club' at classes spread throughout Coventry, Bedworth and Nuneaton.

We now have the Heart of Northern Ireland Taekwondo club which was set up in April 2006 by Neil & Steven Best.

The World Taekwondo Federation (WTF)

The biggest Taekwondo Federation in the World with 188 countries as members.

The European Taekwondo Union (ETU)

The British Taekwondo Control Board (BTCB)

was established in 1982 and is the Governing Body for World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) Taekwondo in the United Kingdom. The BTCB is a member of the WTF, British Olympic Association (BOA), the European Taekwondo (ETU) and recognised by UK Sport, the government agency for High Performance Sport.

The BTCB is responsible for all aspects of WTF/Olympic style taekwondo in the UK. This includes selecting National Teams to compete at the European and World Championships, and the Olympic Games.
